Smoked Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 2 cups of whole milk
  • 2 cups of shredded sharp cheddar 
  • 1/2 cup of sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt (can use regular) and black pepper, each
  • 1-2 tablespoons of Franks original hot sauce
  • 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 3/4 cup panko bread crumbs

Directions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package directions, to al dente
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan and stir in flour, cooking for about 2 minutes
  3. Add milk, one cup at a time, stirring continuously until well blended
  4. Add shredded cheese, one cup at a time, stirring until well blended
  5. Add sour cream followed by seasonings
  6. Pour cheese sauce over cooked noodles and stir well then place into casserole dish or cast iron skillet 
  7. Top with panko and crumbled bacon
  8. Place on grill grate in already hot Po Man and cook for 1 hour
